Robert Humphrey
1927-2005
Founder
Robert Humphrey is the original owner/founder of Humphrey Appliance. The doors first opened in 1947 to support his wife, Mary, and 8 children. Proceeding his duty to his family closely followed his duty to the San Diego community. He unselfishly aided customers at any cost, and would be sure to establish lifelong relationships with them. He proudly handed his business onto 3 of his 4 sons, 2 of whom still remain.
Joe Humphrey
Part Owner/Manager
Joe Humphrey began helping his father, Robert Humphrey, as a teenager. He started as a deliveryman and quickly worked his way up the ladder to finally be his father's successor. He understands the inner-workings and operations of each position, and relays this to his employees to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Joe has 4 boys who will surely take over his business when he and his brother Tom retire.
Tom Humphrey
Part Owner/Manager
Tom Humphrey attended City College as a teenager with emphasis in refrigeration. He came into Humphrey Appliance as a technician and currently resides as the co-owner with Joe Humphrey. Together, they utilize over 75 years of appliance experience to run the family-owned business. He is married to Carolann Humphrey, who currently serves on the Humphrey Appliance force as well.
Jerry Hill
Sales Manager
Though not a Humphrey, Jerry sure cares like a Humphrey. He was an old buddy of Joe and Tom’s, and he knew their father. After transferring to Humphrey Appliance from Verizon Wireless, he applied his abilities as a salesman to become the store’s sales department manager. He approaches each customer with the utmost respect, and his genuine sincerity provides for the most comfortable experience.
Carol Ann Humphrey
Bookkeeper
Carol Ann is currently married to Tom Humphrey. She is an asset to Humphrey Appliance and serves as the full-time Bookkeeper. The more she is there, the more she is needed. Carol Ann has a lovely daughter, Anita Beaver, who was Joe's partner in hers and Tom's wedding.
